The Desolate

In a decaying world, it takes a monster to defeat one.

Aaron White only wants to find a place for himself and fulfill his destiny in a post-apocalyptic, magical world where ruthlessness, tactics, strategy, and strength determine value. In a countryside preyed upon by monsters, Aaron must hide that he is one himself: a vampire endowed with incredible physical powers drawn from consuming human flesh and blood. While he seeks eventual acceptance, uncaring military leaders only want to use him as a disposable weapon.

Tasked with hunting and exterminating twisted, dangerous paranormal creatures and those who consort with occult magic, Aaron and his team dare the ire of a foreign lord and must flee to the capital of their benefactor and ruling sovereign to avoid war. When the team is reassigned to pursue a brutal murderer who harvests body parts, the pressure is on to catch the monster as the body count increases and the city’s stability is put at risk.

As the hunt for the killer escalates, Aaron must face an uncomfortable truth about the guilt he feels over what he is and his uncertainty moving forward. Despite his successes, he must learn to stand by his convictions no matter the cost. Will the world be willing to accept him, or will his Inhuman Intentions be forever distrusted?
