Leanne Blakemore and Adra Mayfield met during their freshman year of college, quickly bonding over their shared love of adventure, storytelling, and the kinds of books that make it impossible to stop at just one more chapter. What began as a college friendship grew into a lifelong creative partnership shaped by laughter, curiosity, and countless conversations about memorable characters and irresistible romances.

After college, their lives followed different but complementary paths. Leanne became a dedicated research scientist with a passion for unraveling the mysteries of life and finding treatments for the illnesses that affect us. Her keen intellect and analytical mind are matched by a sharp wit and a talent for adding a fun, whimsical spin to nearly everything she does. Adra became a compassionate speech therapist, helping students and their families find better ways to communicate. Her ability to understand people’s emotions and help them find their words brings empathy, warmth, and emotional authenticity to their stories.

Their friendship entered a new chapter during an unforgettable train trip across America. With miles of scenery passing outside their window and countless hours to talk, they revisited their mutual love of romance novels and began imagining a story of their own. By the end of the journey, a new adventure had taken shape: they would write their first romance novel together.

Their collaboration combines Leanne’s wit, intellect, and eye for detail with Adra’s compassionate nature and instinctive understanding of human relationships.
