I grew up surrounded by books and often occupied myself with reading. Most summer breaks, my sister and I would enter contests at the library to see who read the most books. We were always each other’s strongest competition! As a teenager, I wrote poetry and short stories, and dreamed of writing a book one day. I did actually start one, but never finished it. I might eventually go back to it through the lens of an adult’s eye, though it bears a striking resemblance to the movie Inception. (Too bad I can’t copyright the thoughts in my head before they’re on paper!)

After years of technical documents, maintaining a personal blog, and a lot of encouragement from my peers, I took the leap back into the creative world. I always knew if I decided to tell someone’s story, it would be Macy’s. I enjoy understanding how and why things work, and what makes people tick. I think that’s what I find the most fascinating about stories such as The Deception Series portrays. I want to understand what drives someone to such extremes.

These are, by no means, meant to be my only works.

My strongest influences are Nora Roberts and Stephen King, though lately Freida McFadden has earned a top spot in my shelf as well. It’s a childhood dream come true to have the opportunity to share my work with the world, and I have many years of ideas to catch up on.

I live in New York with my husband, daughters, and pets. My third love, after my family and books, is traveling. My husband and I take at least one vacation a year, usually to someplace different, determined to experience as much of the world through another lens as we can. When I am not working or traveling, I enjoy the martial arts, playing hockey, running, and Doctor Who.
