Nancy DeRosa

CONTEMPORARY FICTION

Nancy DeRosa lives in Westchester, New York, with her husband, three children, and a lively Havanese named Freddy.

She has been creating stories since she was a little girl and has always possessed a rich imagination. She is happiest surrounded by books, and of course, reading has always been a favorite pastime.

Nancy also enjoys creating characters through performing, whether it be in theater productions or indie films. She is preparing to perform a staged reading in NYC in March for a play that is now in development. She loves working with others in a creative atmosphere and worked with Tommy Waites in his actor’s studio in NY until recently, and has met so many wonderful actors and writers that she is fortunate to call friends.

Among her many interests, Nancy is learning how to make her own perfume, and she is really enjoying the whole process. She loves the idea of telling a story through fragrance as she is always looking for another outlet to tell a tale or two! She has much to learn and has been loving the whole process!

In addition to being in a book club for 24 years, Nancy loves to cook and entertain and has even been on the Food Network’s “Food Detectives.” A highlight of the year for her is the holiday season. She loves nothing better than planning a feast and opening her home to friends and family on Christmas Eve.

Nancy has worked with and mentored young children for 15 years at the Cottages in Pleasantville, and counts this rewarding experience as one of the highlights in her life. She loves animals and has volunteered in animal shelters to help socialize dogs and give them a chance to be adopted into their forever homes.

Hiking, long walks with her dog and friends, and traveling to experience other cultures and meet new people round out he free time. She also loves the ocean, and every summer she looks forward to visiting Maine’s shoreline. One of her favorite places!

Most of all, Nancy’s favorite place to be is spending time with family and friends. Her greatest wish is for her new book,  “All We’ve Lost,’ to resonate with many readers.
