NATHANIEL TERRELL

Nathaniel Terrell considers writing poetry, composing songs, and telling stories to be God-given talents. Although he explored those gifts early in life, he allowed them to remain dormant for many years. Around 2008 or 2009, an overwhelming desire for creative expression led him to take his craft more seriously. What began as an artistic outlet gradually became a source of healing and a deeply personal form of therapy. More than sixteen years later, writing has become an essential part of his identity and a life without it is difficult for him to imagine.

His creative influences include Gil Scott-Heron, King David, Edgar Allan Poe, Tupac Shakur, and Jim Morrison. Each has spoken to him differently during various periods of his life, but they share one quality that resonates most strongly: all were poets and storytellers who used language to express truth, examine the human condition, and connect with their audiences.

Nathaniel writes not only for himself but also to reach people throughout the world. Connecting with fellow creatives, lovers of literature and art, and those who encounter his work gives his writing a greater sense of purpose. Through poetry, spoken-word pieces, anthems, stories, and songs, he seeks to encourage others, offer warnings, elevate awareness, and inspire meaningful reflection.

Faith remains central to Nathaniel’s creative voice. His work offers thanks and praise to God while drawing honestly from his spiritual journey and personal experiences. He does not shy away from life’s harsher realities. Instead, he explores difficult circumstances, personal failures, grief, loss, and the resilience required to keep moving forward. Nathaniel’s goals extend beyond developing his own career.
