Summer Howard has always loved reading and immersing herself in the lives of fictional characters as their destinies unfold across the page. Stories about heroes and heroines, young and old, introduced her to the timeless struggle between good and evil and opened doors to worlds far beyond her own. That lifelong appreciation for storytelling now inspires her to create new worlds and invite readers to journey alongside the characters who inhabit them.

Summer’s desire to write began in elementary school when a teacher encouraged her creativity and awakened her interest in putting stories on paper. Like most young writers, her earliest efforts were far from polished, but she continued practicing. With persistence, experience, and a willingness to learn, her writing gradually developed into the craft she pursues today.

The idea for Summer’s first novel came to her during high school. Its earliest form was a chapter she drafted for an assignment in a creative writing class. Although elements of that original concept remain, the passage of time has transformed the story considerably. Characters have deepened, events have changed, and the world around them has expanded as Summer’s own understanding of life and storytelling has matured.

Much has happened since that first chapter was written. Summer married the man of her dreams, became a mother, and earned her bachelor’s degree when her oldest child was only a year old. Life brought celebrations, challenges, responsibilities, and unexpected turns, but the idea for her novel never disappeared. Instead, it continued growing quietly alongside her.

Summer is especially grateful to share her life with a husband who understands and shares her passion for writing. Their mutual appreciation for stories provides encouragement, inspiration, and a creative connection that makes the writing journey even more meaningful.

As Summer continues developing her novel, she remains excited to introduce readers to the world she has carried with her since high school. She is grateful to everyone willing to enter that world, meet its characters, and follow them as their choices, struggles, and destinies unfold.
