INHUMAN BONDS

Book Description

Bonds will be tested.

In service to the warden Sitri Baal, Aaron White has faced nightmares, cunning nephilim, and the ever-present threat of betrayal in a brutal and unforgiving world. As he struggles to find his place among forces that view him as both weapon and liability, his dream of finding a home in this desolate world begins to unravel.

Two supposed envoys of the Paradise Church have been exposed as occult sorcerers who sacrificed innocent lives to fuel a mysterious and dangerous ritual. At the same time, Lord Sterling, a rival warden, has attacked a Baal outpost without warning and slaughtered its inhabitants. To the Baal military, the connection between these events is a clear declaration of war.

Sitri has decreed that her enemies be punished, while Aaron is not so certain that the situation is so simple. With tensions rising and retaliation already underway, he begins to suspect that something far more complex lies beneath the surface. Acting against orders, he ventures into hostile territory to seek answers, even as distrust spreads and the window to prevent further conflict rapidly closes.

In a land where peace has long since faded and enemies are not always what they seem, Aaron must navigate shifting alliances and uncertain truths. The choices he makes may determine whether the region descends further into chaos or prevents what is coming.

PRAISE FOR THE DESOLATE

  • The characters are well-developed and execute their roles flawlessly. The pacing was fast enough to keep me on edge as I read, with different plot twists that made it more unpredictable.

    Mary Clarke for Readers’ Favorite

  • Inhuman Intentions is for readers who want dark fantasy that does not hold back, who enjoy worlds where morality is murky and survival is fragile. If you like stories with squads of hardened soldiers, grotesque monsters, and heroes who are not quite human, this book will grip you and not let go.

    Literary Titan

  • The narrative flow is both deliberate and rapid, propelling readers forward with a rhythm that reflects the urgency of the characters' lives. His capacity to strike a balance between cinematic violence and introspective reflection lends the book both momentum and weight, rendering it as action-packed as it is thought-provoking.
